Microsoft Office 365 SMTP & IMAP

How to Add and Configure Microsoft 365 Using SMTP/IMAP

We have quick one-click integration for MS accounts HERE. However, if you want to connect using SMTP/IMAP, there are a few things that you need to change from the admin centre.

Here are the steps to complete the process:

Configuration details:

SMTP: Host: Port: 587 Username: your email Password: your password IMAP: Host: Port: 993 Username: your email Password: your password

Step One:

  • Click on settings.

  • Then click Admin Center.

  • Then click show all within the admin center.

  • Then click Azure Active Directory

  • Then scroll down find the properties tab

Step 2: Adjust Admin Properties

Within the admin properties section, you will need to Enable Security defaults to No.

To do this, click "Manage Security Defaults", then click 'No' within the right-hand slider window. Toggle security default

Step 3: Allow the Inbox to Use SMTP & IMAP

A. First, go back to the Admin Center and select Users > Active Users.

B. Select the inbox that you want to add to Warmup Inbox. By doing this a slider will come.

C. Select the Mail tab within the slide and click Manage email apps.

D. Ensure IMAP and Authenticated SMTP is checked.

Step 4: Wait for about an hour, then try reconnecting.

Once you've completed steps 1-3, you will be able to connect your account! We suggest waiting for at least an hour so that the setting changes have time to propagate. Sometimes this could take up to 24 hours.
